In the contemporary processes of globalization, education is taking on an increasingly important role. As a result, a range of new job opportunities is opening at the local, national, and international levels. Likewise, the nature of the mission of education is changing rapidly due to the emergence of a global educational regime with a host of curricular, pedagogical, economic, political, and civic implications. Understanding these processes is necessary in order to fill positions in institutions and organizations that carry out educational tasks in emerging international contexts, such as those involving the development of research careers.
This master’s program aims to: introduce students to the current theories of global, international, and comparative education; promote critical assessment of global dynamics and their impacts in the educational field; inform students about international educational contexts; and provide them with the tools to carry out informed research and to design and implement educational programs based on that research.
