FRANCISCO RODRÍGUEZ JIMÉNEZ

FRANCISCO RODRÍGUEZ JIMÉNEZ obtained his Ph. D. in 2009 from the University of Salamanca (Summa Cum Laude), and won the award for best dissertation that academic year. He went on to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Weatherhead Centre for International Affairs at Harvard University and as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at George Washington University (2010-2013). In addition to his academic work, he contributes regularly in the media, mainly with OP-Eds in Americracia, a blog of EL MUNDO; and The Conversation.

Among other publications, Rodríguez-Jiménez has recently co-edited the following books:Making Friends? U.S. Public Diplomacy Strategies in Latin America during the Cold War (under review); U.S. Public Diplomacy and Democratization in Spain: Selling Democracy?; El Portugal salazarista frente a la democracia; Estrategias de Diplomacia Cultural en un Mundo Interpolar; Mujeres universitarias en España y América Latina. Moreover, he has published in high-impact journals, indexed in JCR and/ or SCOPUS. Rodríguez-Jiménez serves (or has acted) as international reviewer for the European Commission’s Research Agency, Fulbright Screening Committees (in Madrid and Washington), and for Dublin Trinity College.
